Recent Results
Recently, Mr. Beams has effectively represented creditors in highly contested bankruptcy cases. He represented a large Canadian oil and gas company in a Chapter 11 after the debtor filed for bankruptcy seeking to discharge the oil and gas company’s $2.4 million judgement. After Mr. Beams discovered the debtor fraudulently transferred substantial land holdings, his client obtained a substantial settlement of it’s judgement.
Mr. Beams also represented a $6 million dollar judgment creditor in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filed by a medical practice. By objecting to the debtor’s plan of reorganization and out flanking his opponent with an alternative valuation and leveraging key pressure points, Mr. Beams’ client ultimately settled at an amount 10 times higher than the amount proposed in the debtor’s plan.
